As a wedding planner, I love the unexpected connections and relationships I am constantly making in this industry. Back in September 2015, I was exploring online for a business to assist me in creating flyers for various holidays, weddings, and prom. After scouring the internet for local options, a company called Creative On Paper hit all the vibes I was searching for. The owner of the business, Amanda, responded promptly and professionally with quotes and amazing material. Months later, I attended the Charlotte Bridal Show as a vendor where I hoped to meet many of my social media followers. Amanda came up to me and said, “Hi, I’m Amanda!” to my puzzled expression she laughed and said, “You know me, from Creative On Paper!” and from there we bonded over her recent engagement and shared love of our artistically inclined professions.

The first time Amanda and I met in person at the bridal expo!

Months later, I was ecstatic when Amanda called me to schedule an initial complimentary hour consultation for her upcoming wedding. At the meeting I had the pleasure of meeting her fiancé, Loren, with a bold personality and beaming love for Amanda. We could have chatted for much longer with the ease of conversation and creative ideas they had already come up with. They truly were two of the funniest people we have had the opportunity to work with. Having the ability to laugh with clients and share a mutual love of creating and planning makes the process so much fun!

Centerpieces

With Amanda’s background knowledge of graphic design and marketing, we became a very productive duo when planning. She had her own artistic flair I was able to work with and assist upon as far as budgeting and coordinating. We ran with the idea of crisp whites and neutrals with stunning modern feather centerpieces for her tables. We love that she chose for her cake to be a completely modern, bold, bright blue. The juxtaposition of textures and hues gave her wedding a fun twist and flair.

As an event planner, our client feedback is our driving force behind what we do. For Amanda and Loren, we were their solution to managing the planning from beginning to end. We were delighted to hear from them two weeks before their wedding day they were able to focus on their family and this joyous time and felt no stress. They were relieved to have us there on their big day to coordinate all the details. They truly felt the success behind such a great wedding was planning, teamwork, and our office team, they were so happy to have us there!

The love Amanda and Loren have for each other is truly captivating as their ability to share creativity and compromise formed their beautiful wedding day. From their program design to their vegetarian place cards, each detail of the theme allowed their personalities to shine through. We absolutely loved that they chose to wear sneakers at the reception! Their combined energy and laughter shone bright with true love. As the first wedding of 2017 from Events By Deb we are so pleased to have started this year off with a wedding to remember!
