When You’re Not Longer Interested In Planning For Your Wedding Day

Planning your wedding can be an overwhelming task. If you have already invested a lot of time and decided you simply do not want to plan your wedding day, we have your solution! When you are no longer interested in planning your big day, seek out a wedding planner to organize what you already have put together. Events By Deb can step in at any stage. Just Started? We are often contacted by clients who have begun the process of booking vendors but realized wedding planning was just not for them. Maybe you are over-extending your free time and want to claim your nights and weekends back. The need to keep up with emails from vendors and make sure everyone is on the same page can turn one task into five tasks very quickly. Often, we find we tackle one item on our to-do list and it reveals several more things we didn’t think of! That’s okay! If you have a start already, we can take a look at what you have and go from there. The most important part about this stage is that you have defined a direction. You have an idea about what you want (even if you don’t!) and have a couple of pieces done we can then solidify and work with. If there are some aspects you are excited about such as choosing the décor, we can make sure you have a larger involvement in what you are interested in. In Too Deep? Did you get a lot of your wedding planned and then just hit a brick wall? If you feel like you...
4th of July Parade

4th of July Parade

We love celebrating Independence Day! The 4th of July is a landmark summer celebration that invites the town together with food and fun. As the first holiday of the summer season, making this day special is easier than you might think! Preparation Is Key The first step is to choose a date and let your town departments in on the plan. You can keep your parade low-key by choosing a dead-end street and making a quick stop at each home to let them know what you have in mind. If you want something a little larger scale, consult with your town police and fire department so they are on the same page in case they are needed for anything. This is a great idea no matter the size of your parade in case any permits or emergency services are needed. Your local police and fire departments may be able to stop in for the festivities which will get the kids extra excited! Involve the Community Entertainment is abundant in your community! Contact local school bands to see if they want to participate in leading your parade with music! Reaching out to after-school activity groups and local rec centers can provide amazing talent that will take your parade to the next level. Gymnasts, hula-hoopers, face-painters, and musicians will add a creative element to your celebration. If you are planning your parade on a residential street, involving the homes is a great way to bring families out into the action. With enough notice, little ones can set up lemonade booths, popsicle stands, or prepare tables where participants can pick up kazoos,...
Graduation Parties

Graduation Parties

Class of 2018 – Congratulations! As we near the end of another school year, our young graduates deserve some time to celebrate their hard work! We love coordinating Graduation parties to transition our young adults into their college years. The weather is beautiful, summer is here, and our grads want to enjoy their freedom! Plan a cookout to easily coordinate all their friends and family! There’s so much great grad themed décor you can pick up at your local party store. Don’t be afraid to do a little DIY! Making a banner to shout out the class of 2018 is a great personal touch. Pick up some hot dogs and hamburgers and plan for a day out in the rays! We love coordinating graduation parties in local parks and other outdoor venues that facilitate grills and offer gazebos and other sources of shade. A tent rental is always a great option to choose if you have a large backyard! Thinking something more formal? Choose a venue where you can serve a meal family style. Set up a backdrop with 2018 balloons for selfies and photos that will create long-lasting memories. We suggest a personal touch like a photo canvas or other guestbook where everyone can sign yearbook style to commemorate their achievements. Be sure to “Cheers!” to 2018 and a successful journey to...
